Terms of Service
Last updated 6 September 2026
These terms cover using Rost to organise or join events. They are short on purpose. If something here is unclear, ask us rather than guessing.
Rost is in beta
Rost is early software offered as-is. Features may change or be withdrawn, and there may be interruptions. Do not rely on Rost as the only record of an event or as the only way to reach your attendees. We are not liable for a game that did not happen because a notification did not arrive.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 to use Rost. You can RSVP to events with only a name and a phone number. Creating events requires an account, and hosting may require approval.
Keep your account details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
If you host events
- You are responsible for the event itself — the venue, the safety of the people there, and any permissions or insurance it needs. Rost lists events; it does not run them.
- Describe your event accurately, including where it is, when it starts, and what it costs.
- You will see attendees’ names and phone numbers, and you can export them. Use that contact information only for the event it relates to. Do not add people to marketing lists, and do not pass their details to anyone else.
- Cancel promptly if an event is not going ahead, so attendees are not left waiting.
If you attend events
- Turn up if you said you would, and withdraw early if you cannot, so a waitlisted person can take the place.
- Attending is at your own risk. Sport carries risk of injury, and the host, not Rost, is running the activity.
- Treat other attendees decently, in person and in comments and messages.
What you may not do
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or discriminate against anyone.
- Post content that is unlawful, or that you have no right to post.
- Use anyone’s contact details for anything other than the event they relate to.
- Scrape the service, attempt to access data that is not yours, or probe for weaknesses without our written permission.
- Create events you do not intend to run, or sign up under a name that is not yours in order to mislead.
Content you post
What you write stays yours. By posting it you give us permission to display it within the service so it does what you intended — a comment appears on the event page, a message reaches its recipient.
We may remove content that breaks these terms. Hosts may remove comments on their own events.
Suspension
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. A suspended account can still sign in and see its own history, but cannot create events, post, or message. If you think a suspension is a mistake, email rozt.info@gmail.com.
Ending your use
You can stop at any time. To have your account and data deleted, email rozt.info@gmail.com. What happens to your data afterwards is described in the Privacy Policy.
Liability
Rost is provided without warranties, to the extent the law allows. We are not responsible for what happens at an event, for the conduct of hosts or attendees, or for losses arising from an event being cancelled, changed, or not as described. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and, where it significantly affects you, tell you in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
